FAQs

ATV

Are reservations required?

Reservations are always required.

Can I bring my dog to the property?

With the exception of service dogs animals are not allowed onto the property during our tours. Service dogs must be on a leash at all times and even service dogs are not allowed on ATV’s.

Can I bring my own ATV?

Yes! You will see this option in the “Book Now” section of our website.

How long does the experience last?

The whole experience takes approximately 3 hours to complete. This will fluctuate slightly with size of tour.

How old do I need to be to drive an ATV?

You must be over 16 years of age to drive our 450 Yamahas. In the State of Florida, it’s against the law for us to allow anyone younger to drive this size of a vehicle.

I have never used an ATV before, is this for me?

We will ensure that you are given as much training as required but please tell us when you reserve if you have never ridden before.

If I have used an ATV before, can I take it out without a guide?

For safety, security and insurance reasons we offer only guided experiences.

What should I wear?

We strongly advise old clothes as you are likely to get dirty and closed toe shoes. Safety equipment of Helmets and goggles are included in your reservation.

Paddleboard

Are there any age requirements for taking a Paddleboard tour with you?

Ormond Outdoor Adventures invites the whole family to join our Paddleboard experiences. The minimum age to participate in a Paddleboard and Guided Tour is seven years old. (younger children may ride on someone else’s board) Those concerned with being “too old” can contact us to discuss their physical abilities.

Are there any physical limitations?

Anyone in average physical condition may join an Ormond Outdoor Adventures trip. The only prerequisite we require is a healthy spirit of curiosity and adventure. Our tours are not considered to be strenuous or physically demanding, and we do not require a high level of fitness, however, if you have any physical impairments that require special services, or have concerns about any special needs you or your group may have, please call us to discuss them.

Do I need any Paddleboard experience to go on an Ormond Outdoor Adventures tour?

None! You only need to know how to swim! A large percentage of our guests have had no prior experience with paddle boarding, thus, at your designated launch site, one of our trained guides will give you a great introduction to paddle boarding and provide you with all the necessary equipment and give you an informative safety lesson. Regardless of your age or skill level you will find that our expeditions are safe and rewarding.

How far in advance do I need to make a reservation for a Paddleboard tour?

Reservations should be made as soon as you are certain of the type of tour and dates you are interested in. We recommend selecting a day early in your vacation!! However, you can still call us after 10 a.m. on the day you’d like to go Paddle boarding to see if there are any openings to join us on a same day trip! Reservations are accepted up to 12 months in advance.

How stable are your Paddleboards and Kayaks?

Ormond Outdoor Adventures offers boards and kayaks ranging from 9-14 feet for you to use, specifically designed for comfort and safety. From very narrow Paddleboards for the more experienced Paddle Boarder to very wide ones for beginners, the Paddleboards and kayaks we use are all extremely stable, yet swift and easy to maneuver.

Should I “tip” my Paddleboard tour guide?

Although not required, a guide gratuity at the end of your trip is a nice gesture of appreciation for outstanding service, fun times and smiling children. Guiding is a hospitality industry; comparable to that of a server at a restaurant, except that our guides spend more time with you, teach you more, keep you safe and make your trip unforgettable.

What do I need to bring on my Paddle Board trip?

Recommended items to bring on your tour include: a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a camera if you wish, and make sure to wear proper attire for weather conditions including water shoes. Most importantly…bring a great attitude!
